Private Assessment in Ontario
Ontario recognizes qualified professionals including physicians, psychologists, psychological associates and nurse practitioners as professionals who may diagnose autism. Private psychologists may provide fee-for-service assessments. Families should confirm that the assessment meets the documentation requirements for their intended use, such as the Ontario Autism Program.
